There are many reasons people buy a smart or fitness band. The main reasons are health and their usability. People do not buy a smart or fitness band for its price. Now, that is about the change as Xiaomi’s latest Mi Band will cost a mere Rs. 750/- or Rs. 1,000/- depending on the taxes and other things when it is launched in India.

Xiaomi would be releasing the Mi Band in India on August 18, 2014. The Chinese manufacturer captured the Indian market with their Mi 3, which had excellent specs and was made available at low prices. We also expect that Xiaomi’s first Mi Band would be very popular like all their other devices.

Xiaomi’s Mi Band, its first, would be launching alongside the Mi 4, which would be on August 18, 2014, in India. At the Chinese Mi 4 launch event, Xiaomi announced that their Mi Band would be priced at $13, making it the cheapest smart or fitness band in existence.

Currently, most of the smart or fitness bands from leading brands cost at the higher end of the price range like in the range of Rs. 5,000/-. This would be the first time in history that a smart or fitness band is coming in the range of Rs. 1000/- or less than this.

All are hoping that Xiaomi would be taking the much-anticipated leap in the wearable’s market. The Mi Band has IP67 certification that protects it from nature such as rain, dust, heat, snow, and much more. The Mi Band can be used to track user activities such as walking, running, sleep cycles, and more.

The IP67 certification means that it has water resistance of up to 1 meter of depth. It can also be used to track swimming actions. The incorporated battery has a standby time of up to 30 days. The device is not dull and you have many color options that are available. You have orange, bright pink, and blue. Another interesting feature is its ability to unlock your smartphone.
